Ukrainian label Kvitnu, which describes itself as a home for “sound and ideas with a high blood pressure” has shown itself to be one of the most interesting sources of noisy, often rhythmic electronics with a slate of excellent releases this year. Next up, launching later this week, is the first EP from Ilpo Väisänen in fifteen years, Syntetisaattori Musiikkia Kuopiosta. Väisänen is well-known for his work alongside Mika Vainio as Pan Sonic, and has also collaborated with experimental music icon John Duncan

Syntetisaattori Musiikkia Kuopiosta is mastered by C-drík, himself a longstanding fixture of the noise community and the founder of the Syrphe label.

The album is available for pre-order now on the Kvitnu Bandcamp page, in either vinyl or digital format, and will be officially released on October 21st.
