Raw pulsations crossed with deep ambience, uncut noise smashed by clear sine waves, modular complexity put through broken cables.
One hour of constant changes and unpredictable turns in composition.
24 tracks of pure analogue machine madness and bizarre sound ideas.

This recording is our tribute to Kraków – obscure area of inspiration and misunderstandings, old city of new art and technology, place of imminent comfort and lazy silence, convenient space for breeding bizarre and radical ideas.

Kraków is unpredictable and constant, always late and always ahead of time, extremely boring and super innovative, like it’s just don’t care.
We were looking for lost and hidden currents of Kraków, or creating new ones for the city that always sleeps and always awake.

Process:
Three artists Kotra, Zavoloka and Dunaewsky69 came to Krakow in early 2012 with aim to create music about this city. With the help of Studio of Electroacoustic music of Krakow Music Academy artists had a chance to work with unique collection of old analogue synthesizers, modular systems and sound processors, which are in studio’s collection since early 60’s.

Also few more artists were invited in creating of sound library for this project, such as young Slovakian artist Jonáš Gruska and two Polish composers Michał Pawełek and Marcin Strzelecki.

With the use of created sound library each artist composed approximately 20 minutes of music, which later was mixed into one collaboration album.
